Reaching the end of life, one discovers that trailing behind others can actually be a blessing. A beautiful woman pleases the eyes, while a mature woman touches the heart. Life is like a cup of tea; whether full or half-empty, there is no need to struggle. Whether strong or weak, it has its own flavor. Whether hurried or slow, so be it. Whether warm or cold, a simple smile is enough. Life brings pain because of attachment and hurt because of doubt; it brings joy through letting go and happiness through seeing things lightly. We are all travelers in this world, unable to control many things; everything should be left to fate. Love is like sand in one's hand; grasping too tightly only makes it slip through the fingers. Affection is like the moon in the water; attempting to grasp it only makes it more illusory. The mortal world is like flowers in a mirror; after many blooms and fades, it is nothing but a passing cloud. Amidst the splendor and ups and downs of life, I am constantly seeking a pure place to settle my soul—a place where I can read quietly, write quietly, miss someone quietly, and forget quietly. Life is like a river; though the water never returns, the river itself never disappears. The "imperfections" in life are precisely what teach us humility, compassion, and how to cherish what we have.
