Keep your hair, nails, and beard well-groomed. Society can be exclusionary, and the world needs very few artists; do not take that risk. Even if you think long hair looks good, strive to maintain a clean appearance.
Do not assume that being a man means you don't need self-care. At the very least, do not be careless with your diet. Eat more tomatoes, seafood, leeks, and bananas, as they are beneficial for men's health. If you don't see the value, think of it this way: the money you save on medical bills could buy more cosmetics for your partner.
For those striving for progress, do not always think about relying on others. Human nature is self-interested; you are the only person you can truly count on.
Do not dwell too much on failure. Heaven, when it is about to confer a great responsibility on any man, will first vex his mind with suffering, labor his sinews and bones, and starve his body... However, learn to self-reflect, find the root cause, and correct bad habits. Being broke in your twenties is normal; being broke in your thirties might be due to a lack of family background, requiring more effort; but being broke at forty means you must look within for the reason. It is possible, and even likely, for a poor person to become wealthy. It is also possible for someone to remain poor for a lifetime; existence itself is a reason, it just comes down to one's choices.
