A man wanted to study medicine but hesitated. He asked his friend, "In four years, I will be 44. Is it too late?" His friend replied, "Why not? If you don't study medicine, you will still be 44 in four years." This insight inspired him, and he enrolled the very next day.
A neighbor of mine once went into business with a partner. Unfortunately, their cargo ship encountered a storm, and all their assets and dreams sank to the bottom of the sea. Unable to cope with the blow, he lost his spirit and lived in a daze. Later, seeing another partner who had suffered the same fate living vibrantly, he asked why. The man replied, "Whether you are grieving or rejoicing, the days pass by just the same. Which way do you choose to live?"
Reflection: As the poem says, "Whether you cherish it or loathe it, flowers strive to bloom." Flowers always bloom with effort, and beautiful days flow forward day by day. Dear friend, Will you endure your days in pain, or choose to live every day with joy?
