To see a person's intent, look at their eyes; to see their status, look at their opponents; to see their bottom line, look at their friends.
Those who have never failed have likely never succeeded.
Venerable Milarepa said: "Away from hatred, one finds peace; letting go of pride and jealousy, one finds peace; dwelling equally in all things, one finds peace; observing the mind with the mind, one finds peace; in the peaceful realm of non-dual wisdom, the peace of one's true nature is abundant; this joy is far greater than any worldly pleasure!"
Laughter is the warmest flower in the world, spreading its fragrance everywhere. Crying while smiling is a form of endurance; facing life with a smile is courage; a radiant smile is grace; forgiving with a smile is tolerance; a glance with a smile is charm; and eyes twinkling with laughter are full of elegance. Even if you laugh until you fall over or tears flow, a smile is never a sin.
When looking in a mirror, people often see their own strengths, but when looking at others, they often see their flaws. When sunlight shines from the sky, there are always places it cannot reach. If your eyes only focus on the darkness and you complain about the world being dark, that is your own choice.
