During the New Year holiday, I read an article titled "Pay Attention to Details and Seize Opportunities," which left a deep impression on me.
The article uses two short stories to illustrate the importance of noticing details and seizing opportunities. At first, I didn't think these lofty principles had much to do with me; although I found them reasonable, I simply let them pass without reflecting deeply. However, I was surprised to see these truths unfold within just an hour.
That evening, while accompanying my mother to the market, snowflakes were drifting gracefully through the air. I reached out to catch them, but the large snowflakes, like playful children, refused to rest in my palms and quickly melted into water droplets. Determined, I focused on a target. Suddenly, a large, feather-like snowflake drifted down, dancing with the wind. I followed its path and cupped my hands. I caught it! It was large and felt like a soft tuft of cotton. Upon closer inspection, the hexagonal star patterns were clearly visible. As I walked, I thought to myself: is my act of reaching out and waiting for the snowflake to fall, versus actively tracking and catching it, not a perfect example of waiting for an opportunity versus seizing one? After returning home, I opened the book again to reflect more deeply on its meaning...
It turns out that our daily lives are also filled with profound philosophies. They require us to observe, to discover, and to think.
