Not all sweet words come from the heart, and not all heartfelt words are sweet. The meaning of life lies not in its length, but in the timing of our enlightenment. Life is not meant for judging the right or wrong of others, but for living a refined life of our own. Love born from the need to repay a kindness is not true love and can lead to tragedy. A person is usually sober when winning, while only a loser loses their clarity. Even if you do nothing, the hands of the clock continue to move. Pleasing words easily touch the heart, while honest words often cause offense. Others may violate the laws of karma; they may harm, strike, or slander us. However, we must not respond with hatred. We must maintain a whole and pure nature. When interacting with others, we should constantly ask ourselves: "How can I be of use to them?" If we cannot use our moral character or spiritual cultivation to benefit others, we are essentially incurring a debt. One cannot grow through mere pleasure; happiness can make one superficial. It is through pain and transformation that we truly come to understand life.
