Nature is incredibly diverse. It can be a gushing spring, a tranquil pool, a cascading waterfall, or a vast ocean into which all rivers flow. A mountain may stand solitary and prominent, or stretch out in a vast, rolling expanse. A tree might breathe out emerald mist with its lush leaves, or crack through stone with its powerful roots. Dongting Lake might be seen as "howling in fierce winds, with turbulent waves filling the sky," or "serene and bright, with ripples undisturbed." The Red Cliffs of the Yangtze River may present "egrets hovering over the river, with light and water meeting the sky," or "high mountains, small moon, water receding, and rocks emerging."
When a flock of geese rests, one must act as a sentinel, known as the "Goose Slave," taking turns to watch for danger and alerting the others with a cry at the slightest disturbance. Once, a hunter tried several times to catch them but failed. He then devised a plan: he would walk directly toward the flock and hide immediately after the sentinel cried out. After escaping several times without realizing the danger, the geese blamed the sentinel and even attacked it. The grieving sentinel remained silent when the hunter returned, leading to the deaths of half the flock. Such is the way of the world: the loyal are often misunderstood, and those who are misunderstood often lose their perseverance.
Through years of experiencing the warmth and coldness of human relationships and tasting the various flavors of life, one becomes mature and strong. True security can only be provided by oneself. Therefore, strive to be the best version of yourself and live the life you desire. Do what must be done, walk the path you must take, without retreat or hesitation. No matter how difficult it gets, remind yourself: even making a little progress every day is better than standing still.
Be grateful to those who gave you life, allowing you to experience the wonders of this world; be grateful to those who helped you, allowing you to experience human sincerity; be grateful to those who need you, allowing you to feel your own value; and even be grateful to those who have hurt you, for They help you understand the true meaning of growth.
Life begins in this world and ends in the next; one should walk this path with grace and follow the natural order.
