Many troubles and pains are easily resolved; by changing your perspective and mindset, you will discover a different world. When facing setbacks, treat temporary difficulties as the darkness before dawn. With a positive outlook, you will find that reality is far from as bad as it seems. Change your perspective, and the world becomes more beautiful!
You were an important passerby, and you were merely a passerby because you never stayed. The seeds of joy you sowed in my life never bloomed because they were never watered; the scars you left remained because there was no gentle compassion; you brought a glimmer of light only to plunge me into darkness, for you never thought to illuminate my path.
The past will not return, and what returns is no longer perfect. If one is not strong, who is weakness for? To face a complex life with a complex heart is to walk a complex path. Live a life of being content with circumstances and adopt an attitude of indifference. Occasionally remembering the past makes one feel as though life is regressing. Expecting, waiting, failing—life is such a tangle. It is not that we are unsuitable, but rather that others are more suitable.
Slanted sunlight shines on the village; in the secluded alleys, cattle and sheep return. An old man thinks of the shepherd boy, leaning on a staff, waiting by the door. The pheasants cry amidst the lush wheat; silkworms sleep among the thinning mulberry leaves. A farmer arrives with a hoe, and their greetings are warm and lingering. This is the life of leisure I envy, singing joyfully as the era fades.
Life is inherently a solo journey; though someone may walk with you for a while, everyone eventually goes their own way. This is the answer time gives us: since we cannot possess anything, the only thing we can do is not to forget. Otherwise, life is destined to be dull and unremarkable. Deserts are for camels, and prairies are for galloping horses; if a horse loses its way in the desert, it must run harder to find the way back to the prairie.
If you fear hardship, you will suffer for a lifetime; if you endure it, you only suffer for half a lifetime. You must bravely face all fears. Stay close to a wise mentor and remain loyal. Serve your parents and elders with respect and care.
