When reading, if your mind is not on the book, your eyes will not observe closely. If the heart and eyes are not focused, nothing will be remembered long-term. In reading, the presence of the mind is most crucial. Once the heart is present, the eyes and mouth will naturally follow.

Tasks can wait until you are free, friends can wait until you are idle, and knowledge can wait until you rest... but time waits for no one. If you do not chase time, you will be left behind by the times.

As living standards improve and material conditions become better, achieving success requires more than relying on parental advantages or indulgence. One must not avoid mistakes to save face, and must face setbacks with courage instead of retreating.

Mastering a skill is not easy, and becoming a connoisseur requires observing real objects rather than mere theory. One must read ten thousand books to write with soul. Without the accumulation of experience, one cannot reach great heights in any endeavor.

A gentleman should observe nine things: ensure clarity in seeing and hearing; maintain a gentle expression and humble appearance; speak with loyalty and act with caution and seriousness; seek advice when in doubt; consider the consequences when angry; and ensure that gains comply with moral principles.
