Young people should understand that setting clear goals and focusing all energy on them is the key to success. As Dostoevsky said, "If you chase two rabbits, you will catch neither." A cheetah becomes a master hunter because it identifies a single, clear target before acting. Thus, having multiple goals can hinder success, whereas a clear focus leads to achievement.
If you cannot be a great river, be a small stream; if you cannot be a towering tree, be a blade of grass; if you cannot be a hero, be an ordinary citizen. As long as you keep flowing, growing, and striving, you can travel across mountains and rivers, spread vitality everywhere, and live with dignity.
As we age, we miss our youth; facing death, we cherish life. Yet, in moments of sorrow, life can seem meaningless. However, without perseverance, we would never experience life's twists and turns or realize that even the most unbearable pain eventually passes. Just when you think your heart has become a wasteland, it may unexpectedly bloom with flowers. At that moment, all desolation becomes a memory. To live is to prevail.
Ancient wisdom states: "One day without reading, dust gathers; two days without reading, speech becomes dull; three days without reading, one's appearance becomes unsightly." Yang Jiang once said that reading is not for degrees or wealth, but to become a person of warmth, taste, and thought. Every thought gained from books is timeless and practical. True readers possess free souls; their hearts are unguarded yet unassailable.
Spiritual practice is about using wisdom to create beauty. No one can cause you distress or pain; if you struggle to understand a situation, it is a reflection of your own lack of wisdom and practice. Nothing in this world is perfect. If you approach life with only one mindset or perspective, you will inevitably find imperfection everywhere.
