Tolerance is like sunshine, while criticism is like a cold wind; sunshine is far more welcome. Once, a monk asked a Zen master, 'Why are enlightened people never lost?' To master oneself is to maintain a clear heart and a bright spirit. When viewing problems, try to see them from a higher and broader perspective; when handling matters, learn to practice empathy. In character, be neither greedy nor jealous; in conduct, be neither fawning nor arrogant. Always maintain a calm and steady mindset, avoiding extremes or unrealistic ambitions. Life requires both romance and reality. A life without romance is inevitably incomplete, filled with regrets caused by hesitation and the fear of loss. Conversely, a life without reality is desolate; when one eventually falls from the clouds of dreams to the dust of the world, one will be exhausted and wounded. To live with dignity and excellence, one must change their mindset and dare to struggle against fate. If circumstances cannot be changed, change yourself; if you cannot persuade others, persuade yourself. If a mountain blocks your path, find a way around it. Take care of your life and settle your soul; then, life is complete. Protect the simplicity of life and cherish the ordinary.
