In the modern era, it is increasingly difficult to experience deep familial bonds. This is due not only to the rise of only-child families but also because the material civilization of modernity has deepened the estrangement between people. As the Buddha said, one must look back five hundred times in a past life to encounter someone by chance in this life. Meeting someone from a different province, ethnicity, or environment is a form of destiny; and it is sincerity that binds hearts closely together.
Jealousy is human nature, but people react to it differently. A magnanimous person views others' achievements as motivation and their talents as lessons, constantly admiring and learning from them. In contrast, a narrow-minded person tends to obstruct and criticize others.
