Pain makes us stronger, tears make us braver, and heartbreak makes us wiser. Therefore, we should be grateful for the past, as it paves the way for a better future. To live is to dare to engage in a decisive battle with oneself. There are two paths in life: one follows the expectations of others, gaining applause but losing one's self; the other follows one's own heart, where even if no one cheers, you can cheer for yourself.
I often thought fate was heartless, or that my past karma was insufficient, leaving me without true friends or soulful companions. It doesn't matter if anyone understands or appreciates them; as long as the sorrow is released, that is enough.
True wealth is not necessarily the balance in a bank account, nor is it land, houses, gold, or silver—things you cannot possess alone and cannot take with you when you die. The only true wealth lies in faith, contentment, joy, conscience, relationships, and wisdom. These are treasures that not only benefit oneself but also others; they serve us throughout our lives and even beyond.
