In this world, there are only moods that cannot be overcome, not matters that cannot be resolved. Pessimists are defeated by themselves before being defeated by life; optimists conquer themselves first, and then they conquer life.

Like rivers flowing into the sea or leaves returning to their roots, we are but a single leaf or a single drop in the vastness of life. In the grand expanse of the universe, we may seem tiny and insignificant, yet the growth of every single drop and leaf contributes to the evolution of the entire cosmos.

Note that "greed" is close to "poverty," and "excessive desire" is akin to "self-destruction." If one pursues unrealistic happiness, the ultimate harvest will only be poverty and ruin. It is much like a moth flying into the flame, destroying itself.

I still remember the place called "Bridge" where you lived. There was no grand bridge, only a tranquil river flowing day and night. I feel no regret, for I had your company as we walked along the country paths, past scattered villages and groves of trees. I remember the pond where we sat quietly by the bank, watching the white ducks play, feeling a profound sense of happiness. I often think that I might be a fish in your river, or a butterfly on your path, finding joy in your presence. But today, I am merely a weary traveler, walking away quietly with loneliness and nostalgia.

In any endeavor, what matters is not the applause of others, but our own self-affirmation—that is the essence of confidence. Not every disaster is a misfortune; hardships can be blessings that temper us. Similarly, not every comfort is a blessing; ease can sometimes be a trap.

After experiencing much, I have learned to make happiness a habit. I found that my joy can inspire others. I have learned to let go of what should be forgotten and how to accept what cannot be changed. Even when material needs aren't fully met, I have learned to nourish my soul. Having walked this path, I have found peace in understanding.
