Time flows like water, and years pass like sand through an hourglass. The wind remains gentle, and the clouds remain light. Looking back at the past, whether the memories are beautiful, regretful, joyful, or sad, they all fold into a yellowed parchment with the cycle of seasons. In truth, the smoke and rain are merely illusions of the mind; the world remains the same, and the mortal realm remains unchanged.
Whenever Tang Sanzang introduces himself, he says, "I am the monk Tang Sanzang, coming from the Great Tang in the East, traveling to the Western Heaven to fetch Buddhist scriptures." Only by knowing who you are, where you come from, and where you are headed, and by maintaining a clear life goal, can you remain steadfast against all hardships and temptations to ultimately achieve your purpose.
