Much of life's happiness comes from contentment. Finding blessing in hunger, in toil, or in solitude with friends makes life meaningful.
巡旧垒,羊羔跪乳,乌鸦反哺,落红护花,落叶归根。One flower, one world; one tear, one universe. Observe the fruit to know the tree, observe the actions to know the person. The threads from a mother's hand are long and tender, and the tears in a father's eyes are warm and heartfelt. Trees desire stillness but the wind does not cease; children wish to care for parents, but the parents are no longer there. Do good deeds and do not seek recognition; when the heart is fulfilled, life becomes complete.
Doctors cannot cure those destined to pass, and Buddha cannot enlighten those without affinity.
When your flaws are exposed, do not lose your temper. Do not think that temper or noise can hide or overcome your shortcomings.
Be calm, unattached, composed, and steady. Balance arises from the harmony of Yin and Yang, the beginning of all things. Through evolution and motion, balance is maintained. Let tranquility and joy ripple through your heart like a calm lake with shimmering waves. A peaceful mind is the cradle of wisdom. Dreams are like kites in the sky; if you only look up at them, they will fly further and further away.
Busyness is a blessing that leaves no time for pain; striving is a joy that lets us truly feel life; exhaustion is an enjoyment that leaves no room for emptiness. It is best not to be like a peach—sweet on the outside but hard within—but rather like a coconut: a sturdy shell to withstand strikes and a clear interior to maintain transparency.
