There were two brothers, only four or five years old. Because their bedroom windows were always kept tightly shut, they felt the room was too dark and envied the bright sunlight outside. The brothers decided to 'sweep' some sunlight into the room. They took brooms and dustpans onto the balcony to try and catch the light. However, every time they carried the dustpans back inside, the sunlight vanished. They tried this repeatedly, but the room remained dark. Seeing their peculiar behavior, their mother, who was busy in the kitchen, asked, 'What are you doing?' The children replied, 'The room is too dark, so we are trying to sweep the sunlight in.' Their mother smiled and said, 'Just open the window, and the sunlight will come in naturally. Why bother sweeping?'
Moral: Open your mind, and the sunlight of success will dispel the darkness of failure.
