A tree may offer lush green leaves or drive its roots through stone. Dongting Lake can be "roaring with fierce winds and turbulent waves" or "serene with spring light and calm ripples." The Yangtze River can show "egrets flying across the river with water meeting the sky" or "high mountains and small moons, as the water recedes to reveal stones."
The world is neutral. The events that happen to you are neither inherently positive nor negative; the power to interpret them as such lies within you. Your attitude determines the meaning of your experiences. Ultimately, what determines your happiness is your mindset, not your circumstances.
