Respected School Leaders and Scholarship Committee Members:
Hello. My name is Li XX, a student in the Nursing Vocational Class (3) 08-11. I come from a remote rural family of six, and our current income is quite limited. The high tuition and living expenses during my university years have placed a heavy burden on my family, which is further strained by my brother's hepatitis treatment. Consequently, I have always practiced strict frugality at school to help ease the financial pressure on my family.
It is said that "children from poor families grow up to be responsible." Life's hardships have not weakened my will; instead, they have driven me to study even more diligently. In the last semester, my academic performance was among the best in my class, which demonstrates my dedication and perseverance.
Now in my sophomore year, I realize that my family's financial situation is unlikely to change in the near future. During my time at school, I have always maintained high personal standards and was honored as an "Excellent Youth League Member." I have a perfect attendance record, consistently attending all classes—whether professional or theoretical—which has allowed me to avoid any remedial exams. I firmly believe that the knowledge we acquire is the only thing that truly belongs to us. Although the weight of our struggles can sometimes feel overwhelming, I know that only through continuous effort can I change my destiny.
