No man steps in the same river twice, for the sun is new every day.
People say the world changes rapidly, and the only constant is change. As the classics say: "Traveling eighty thousand miles in a single day, gazing across a thousand rivers"; or "It flows on, never ceasing day or night."
Change is absolute, yet the direction and speed of change are relative and conditional.
For example, the mathematician Hua Luogeng who only attended middle school, the writer Gorky who learned from the "university of life," and the American scientist Stephen Hawking who lived with a disability. Given their initial circumstances, it would not have been easy for them to achieve greatness, yet they ultimately climbed to the peaks of human wisdom.
What is the secret? It lies in the extraordinary perseverance to challenge limits and the indomitable courage to persist. We are not born to be defeated. You may break my body, but you can never crush my will. As Hemingway aptly put it, this is the essence of life.
Conversely, there are many examples of those who give up, much like the fable of the tortoise and the hare.
The key lies in your attitude: your courage to face setbacks and your ability to hoist the sails of your ideals, grasping the throat of fate.
There may be times when you feel lost because you failed to enter your desired class, failed an exam, were hurt by harsh words, or found yourself overwhelmed by rumors and isolation, feeling utterly alone.
But in those moments, look out the window: watch the clouds drift and the sun rise and set. Even if the sun is obscured by gray clouds, once it sets behind the distant mountains, a fresh and beautiful sun will rise again the next day.
So, stand up like a warrior and sweep away the gloom in your heart;
Be bold like a sailor: in the midst of storms, these pains are nothing;
Be poetic like a fable: while lamenting the brief sunset, remember you are about to lose another day.
Be wise like a sage: the wind can never defeat the sunlight.
The way we choose to live determines our destiny. Because there is always a tomorrow, there is always hope. As long as hope remains, tomorrow will be better.
The ocean loses its majesty without crashing waves; the desert loses its splendor without swirling sands; and life loses its brilliance without the impact of setbacks.
Although obstacles remain and the wind still blows against us, do not be pessimistic, do not lament, and never lose the courage to face life.
