An American doctor was providing medical aid in Africa, and her husband, Lincoln, went to visit her. The local environment was extremely harsh—desolate, lonely, and devoid of any entertainment. Initially, Lincoln was skeptical, but upon his arrival, he realized the living conditions were even more severe than he had imagined. Amidst the profound loneliness, Lincoln read a phrase in a book: "Change your thoughts, and you will change everything." At first, he found this notion ridiculous, but during the long, idle days, he began to attempt to change his mindset. He started to take notice of the local indigenous handicrafts, realizing they could be sold abroad; he discovered that the local soil could be used for pottery; and he even found a type of grass that could treat wounds. As his perspective shifted, he no longer felt lonely; instead, he found himself with endless things to do.
