We live in an era that prioritizes strength and ability. Today's efforts shape tomorrow's life, and today's preparations are for the opportunities of the future. Competition is fierce; our level of ability determines our strength, strength determines our value, and value ultimately determines our future. The era where a single diploma could guarantee a lifetime of security has passed. Nowadays, knowledge has an expiration date, much like milk. Undergraduates can no longer afford to be complacent, as complacency leads to stagnation. An increasing number of Master's, PhD, and MBA graduates are entering the workforce, competing with us for positions and salaries.

As economic standards rise and material goods become more abundant, the vast array of products, technologies, and services can be overwhelming. Yet, despite rising salaries, disposable income often feels more constrained. To achieve higher social status and a better quality of life, we have no choice but to strive relentlessly.

This is our current state of existence—a strenuous struggle for survival. To secure a place in this competitive society, to discover and realize our potential, we must endure the dual pressures of work and life alongside the continuous demand for learning. We return to classrooms, pursue degrees, earn certificates, and master new skills. To survive within the narrow gaps of competition, we must embrace these demands. This is life in the era of the knowledge economy.
