The best way to cultivate the mind is to limit desires, but limiting desires does not mean having none; it means reducing them to a minimum to maintain mental balance. This is why ancient sages like Zhuangzi could find contentment in simple living while possessing profound cultivation. Work earnestly, and live easily. Criticism awakens the wise, while flattery clouds the foolish. Appropriate kind words are like golden apples in a silver box. Is there any use in crying over spilled milk? Is it worth regretting a missed opportunity? Some things can only be "forewarned" rather than regretted. Preparation is better than hindsight. Remember, both physical wounds and emotional wounds are equally difficult to heal. Your friends are your precious assets; they bring you joy and make you braver. They are always ready to listen to your sorrows. When you need them, they will support you and open their hearts. Telling your friends how much you love them is equally important to them. In life, people are most concerned with themselves. When you pick up a group photo, your first gaze invariably falls on yourself. Every morning, facing the person in the mirror, why not ask: "Who is he?" Do not feel embarrassed or foolish. As the saying goes, our greatest enemy is ourselves. Therefore, to conquer and understand the "self," one must first learn to understand, recognize, and objectively evaluate oneself to find one's proper place. As age increases, one's beliefs tend to diminish. Much like the wearing down of teeth, it is neither cynicism nor paranoia, but simply the natural wear of time.
