Life is a cycle of various changes, pains, and joys. The unchanging blue sky exists only within the soul; to seek such permanence from reality is perhaps a futile expectation.

To be born is a kind of destiny. Since we have chosen to live, we should face the bumps in the road and bravely carry our life's burdens. Life offers no return tickets; why not live freely and follow fate?

When facing adversity, reflect upon oneself and accept it with grace. Benefiting others is goodness; benefiting oneself is selfishness. To benefit others is being impartial, and impartiality is truth. To benefit oneself is being selfish, and selfishness is falsehood. He who follows the heart is true, while he who follows traces is false. To accumulate virtue, one must never be swayed by appearances, but instead quietly cleanse the soul from the subtle depths of the heart.

If you constantly forgive yourself, you will often lose yourself; if you treat yourself too well, you will repeatedly lose your essence. One should strive for freedom, autonomy, and independence—but Freedom should not turn into arrogance, autonomy should not become conceit, and independence should not lead to self-righteousness!

The jealous fear the achievements of others and try to diminish them, whereas the ambitious establish themselves through much greater accomplishments, leaving the jealous to sigh in shame.

First bow to Heaven and Earth, and then endure a wife's temper; second bow to parents, and then please the mother-in-law; bow to each other as husband and wife, and then tighten the belt; enter the bridal chamber, and he kneels on the floor while she sleeps in the bed; Alas, I am a sheep while she is a wolf; marriage is a long sentence.
