The purpose of life is to develop oneself, yet there are times when sacrifice is necessary for that development. Ordinary growth is sometimes not as resonant and magnificent as a heroic sacrifice. The most stunning scenery is found in treacherous mountains; the most stirring music is found in mournful melodies; and a noble life is often found in heroic sacrifice.
If we truly love our lives, we are willing to trust our own feelings. Perhaps we will fly to higher places to look back at ourselves, getting closer to what we truly desire. What we seek is nothing more than a breath of pure existence: watching a performance we love, or singing freely—it is that simple.
I am grateful for all the experiences life has provided; without them, I might not have met the people I was destined to meet.
When faced with good rules, knowing how to defend and abide by them allows one to enjoy more sunshine in life.
In the beginning, I demanded things from others; later, I demanded them from those around me; in the end, I only demand them from myself.
For those who fly skillfully, there is a path in the sky; for those who dare to climb, there is a path in the mountains; for those who dare to sail, there is a path in the sea.
No matter what happens, you must remain calm and joyful. This is the nature of existence, and we must face it bravely, fearlessly, and with a smile—no matter what.
Life requires nobility. With nobility, you can escape mediocrity and emptiness. Once you realize this, you will find that nobility is all around you. It might be a towering mountain, a vast ocean, a grand monument, a mighty river, a stirring symphony, or even a person who helps you understand greatness and nobility.
