What is success? Successful people might tell you: fall down, get back up, and that is success. As for me, I have a slightly different perspective on success.
Success is something everyone dreams of. We all long for success in our careers and studies, so we constantly chase the traces of success. Along this journey, setbacks are inevitable. While successful people encourage you to stand up immediately after a fall, I suggest it is okay to lie down for a while.
In reality, True success is not just about overcoming failure, but about learning to love failure. It is about finding happiness in every single moment. When we stand, we can embrace the grandeur of the world; and when we lie down, we can discover an entirely different view.
I like to use the pursuit of love as a metaphor for the journey of success; nothing describes it more aptly. When you have a crush on someone, if you never take that first step, you will never know what is in their heart. When you confess your feelings only to find that the feeling is not mutual, you shouldn't dwell on your flaws. Instead, reflect on the process of pursuit—that complete and sweet journey. Even if it doesn't end in success, the experience left in your heart is, in itself, a symbol of success.
Do not envy the victors. We are born to achieve, but without falling, we would never learn how to walk. Those who find joy and success within the process of stumbling are the ones who truly know how to rise again.
