Why would someone pay a premium for a worn-out violin? Because it has been tuned and can produce beautiful music. Life is much like a violin; your mindset is like the strings. Only by tuning your mindset can you fully unlock your potential.
Over the years, the greatest wisdom I have learned is silence. When faced with insults or skepticism, I know they cannot truly take anything from me. Family, friends, or work—nothing should be shaken by external noise. Even though I could argue to defend myself, I often choose silence, trusting that time will reveal the truth. This karma is not a divine judgment, but the natural consequence of the choices we make between good and evil.
No matter how long life is, we experience much. Some people cannot be etched into memory, and some events cannot settle into lasting recollections. Regarding painful people or matters, learn to be indifferent once you pass them, and let them go once you turn away. Only in this way will your journey be light and your soul unburdened. Remember, reunions are brief, while partings are inevitable; no one is your eternal preoccupation, and no single event is your entire existence.
If an enemy can make you angry, it means you haven't mastered them yet; there is no need to look back at those who curse you. If a mad dog bites you, would you lie down to bite it back? Do not dwell too much on the insults of others.
