The mind (rather than the soul or spirit) is an entity that distinguishes animals from plants at a biological level. For humans, the mind emerges with the birth of the individual. The mind possesses its own components and functions, much like the brain, but it is not a visible physical entity, nor is it merely a function of the brain. Just like the physical body, the mind has its own laws of growth and development, although it may not always reach maturity under the influence of numerous factors.
Many things in this world work this way. When you pursue something too intently, it flies away like a butterfly. But when you set aside distractions and dedicate yourself wholeheartedly to a task for the sake of society or others, unexpected rewards will quietly greet you. Often, explanations are unnecessary—enemies will not believe them, and friends do not need them.
Sometimes, it is hard to avoid overthinking. When you become overly sensitive, even the smallest things trigger anxiety. A single glance from someone might feel like hostility, while a lack of eye contact feels like being ignored. Those who overthink are destined to live a difficult life, as they are too easily swayed by the emotions of others. Constantly lost in wandering thoughts leaves one trapped in a tangled mess of confusion. Sometimes, rather than overthinking, it is better to be a bit simpler.
