If the heart is simple, the world becomes simple, and happiness grows; if the heart is free, life becomes free, bringing joy wherever one goes. Be indifferent to success and open-minded during failure.
Aside from tears, only time can wash everything away. Let time dilute emotions; the longer it flows, the lighter the conflicts become, much like tea being continuously diluted.
Happiness has no role model. As Liang Shiqiu said, "Happiness and joy are in the heart, not sought from the outside. To seek is often to lose." A distant niece lived a very joyful life. However, after a class reunion where she saw a classmate in a high position living in a mansion and driving a luxury car, she began to envy others' lives and complain about her husband, who was a teacher rather than a wealthy man. Her original happiness vanished because she tried to find a "model" for it.
Master Bodhidharma said: "When there is no delusion, one mind is the Buddha land; when there is delusion, one mind is hell. Sentient beings create delusions and use the mind to create the mind, thus remaining in hell; Bodhisattvas observe delusions and do not use the mind to create the mind, thus remaining in the Buddha land."
Never regret the path you have chosen, whether it was ten years ago or right now. I do not complain, mock, or envy anyone today. I bloom in the sunshine and run through the wind and rain, pursuing my dreams and walking my own path. Everything is wonderful; truly, everything is wonderful.
Everyone has the right to happiness, but only a few possess the ability to be happy.
Cultivation is the process of correcting one's erroneous perceptions.
No one can claim to be flawless, and no one can prove they are an eternal winner. Yet, there are those who can confidently tell the world they are successful and resilient. Their brilliance is captivating because they hold hope in their hearts, and their "secret to victory" is constantly refined through life's trials. Their IQ or EQ may not be the highest, but their mindset is healthy, enabling them to bounce back quickly amidst life's storms.
