Hello! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for the scholarship. After a year of hard work in my freshman year, I am truly delighted to have a chance to receive this scholarship.
The courses during my freshman year were extremely demanding. Especially in the first semester, I had to study anatomy, embryology, biochemistry, physiology, and other unfamiliar subjects. I found it quite challenging. These are very important and fundamental subjects for college students, so I knew I had to master them. Throughout that semester, my weekly schedule was almost packed with classes, which made it difficult for me to adapt. In the second semester, studies took up most of my time. Moreover, the courses were very difficult and not easy to master, so I studied even harder. Encouragingly, my final grades were quite acceptable. I was initially worried about embryology because my first major university exam relied heavily on it, and I feared failing. However, I passed. Most other courses also went well, though my English score was a bit lower. I initially thought I had no hope of getting the scholarship because my pharmacology score was not impressive. However, after calculating the comprehensive score, I met the requirements. Now that I am eligible for the scholarship, I see it as a strong encouragement. Although I am now in my sophomore year and my focus should shift to specialized professional courses, this scholarship is a reward for my previous efforts and an affirmation of my freshman year's performance. It is also a highlight in my university life, so I am eager to strive for it.
I have always believed that as a student, one must prioritize academic excellence. I am the kind of person who, if I do something, I must do it well enough to be proud of it. I dislike half-hearted learning. To focus on my studies, I gave up many other things. I can say that I devoted the majority of my energy to learning my professional courses. Now that I am eligible for the scholarship, I feel that my sweat has not been wasted, and I am deeply moved. Below, I will provide a detailed introduction to my other personal circumstances:
