Some things can be overcome with a smile, while others will eventually make you laugh after a while. Life is never perfect; it is accompanied by tears of bitterness, regrets of mistakes, deep resentment, and lingering anger. Yet, life is also beautiful, allowing us to smile through tears, gain enlightenment from regret, find joy within resentment, and cultivate love from anger.
Can people truly ignore gossip and the tides of fortune, looking at success and failure with a smile and a bold attitude? Perhaps you show a smile to the world, but who understands the tears in your heart when you are alone? After success or failure, one always looks back, much like glancing at a broken teapot, differing only in the duration of the pause. Although more teapots may be broken in the future, this is simply because we are ordinary human beings—we have emotions, a soul, and we oscillate between fragility and strength. We sigh at the helplessness of life and life’s circumstances, yet we enrich our existence within that helplessness. Perhaps this is precisely the meaning of life and the value of existence.
Death is not the loss of life, but rather stepping out of time.
Sometimes I choose silence. It is not because I am unhappy, but simply because I wish to clear my mind.
Being willing to help others and hoping to receive help in return when needed is a normal human instinct. However, truly generous, open-minded, and wise individuals are skilled at finding the cause within themselves, rather than constantly complaining about others.
