After finishing this story, I cannot help but exclaim: Yes, it is wonderful to be alive. No matter the circumstances, as long as we are alive, there is always a glimmer of hope.
The Wenchuan earthquake robbed countless children of their parents, yet they survived with remarkable resilience. Even in their final moments, they never gave up. We, on the other hand, were lucky enough to survive without a scratch. Should we not be grateful to heaven for this?
Consider for a moment: when you see the children in remote mountain areas holding books with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, do you feel no sense of guilt? Reflect carefully on the past decade or so of our lives. How many things have we done that truly brought joy to our hearts? For a long time, we have been like puppets, manipulated by adults. When helping them with tasks, we never viewed it as our own responsibility; we simply drifted through the days. And how many truly meaningful things have we actually accomplished?
From now on, we must live for ourselves. Life is our own. As lucky survivors, We should take on our responsibilities and make our lives shine brilliantly!
