Human beings are social animals; we cannot live in isolation apart from society. Our daily needs, from food to clothing, rely on the efforts and labor of others. If we cultivate a sense of gratitude, we may improve our sense of isolation from the crowd. The purpose of interacting with others is not to please them, but to understand gratitude and reciprocity, which ultimately helps us live a better life for ourselves in the future.
Helping others is helping yourself; considering others is caring for yourself.
True light does not mean the absence of darkness. As long as there is a lamp in the heart, the inner light will never be extinguished. Life is not without humility; as long as we stand tall amidst humility, we can protect the dignity at its edges. We traverse the depth of time and the weight of space. Only by bravely facing and challenging ourselves, focusing without distraction, and moving forward with determination can we let our dreams come to shore on a certain day in the future.
Do not mistake passion, wildness, and happiness for love; at best, these are only the initial forms of love. True love is staying together without abandonment amidst blandness and monotony. Current passion and clinginess do not indicate future depth of love; they only reflect how lonely both parties were before. Some love is expressed through persistence in daily chores and tolerance during fierce arguments.
No matter how much your boss or superior boasts or promises, maintain a clear head, which means self-respect. Do not place excessive hope in others. Do your own job well to give yourself hope, while also earning respect and more room for development. When the gourd is ripe, the stem falls; when water flows, it reaches its destination. Do not rely on someone to bring you a communist society. As the "International" sings: There is no savior in the world; we can only rely on ourselves.
The clarity of life always arrives with the first ray of bright sunlight. Every day, some people leave, and every day, some return. Do not dwell on departures, nor be overly delighted by returns. If it is truly a reflection of the soul, there is no distinction between leaving and returning; they are always together. If it is truly the meaning of life, even if physically apart, they are spiritually united. Everything originates from the heart. — Being at peace with oneself is the heart of Buddha.
