How should we respond to the actions of others? With love. Love is the key that opens people's hearts and the shield that defends against the arrows of hatred and the spears of anger. It softens setbacks like gentle spring rain. Love is a talisman in the marketplace of life: it supports us in loneliness, encourages us in despair, and calms us in ecstasy. This love strengthens day by day, becoming increasingly protective, until one day we can face the world with natural ease and tranquility.
While everyone knows that life is like a play, that time is unforgiving, and that life is fleeting, each person plays the lead role in their own life drama, with everyone else as a supporting character. Consequently, everyone strives to portray their role well. However, whether one's life is a tragedy, a comedy, or a farce is not entirely decided by the individual. Ultimately, we are merely actors, not directors, and we may not even know who the director is, making it impossible to predict all the plots and processes. This is the greatest difference between the drama of life and other theatrical performances.
Life is like flowers blooming and withering, tides rising and falling; there are gains and losses, suffering and joy. If one constantly believes they have lost too much, being tormented by such thoughts, that person is the most unfortunate. Remember: circumstances arise from the mind. The problem itself is rarely the issue; how one deals with it is the greatest problem.
Convincing people through power does not yield true submission; convincing them through reason leads to silence. Especially after gaining power, people easily lose their way and sink into authority. At such moments, it is easiest to create enemies without realizing it. One must understand that the improper use of power can create boundless karmic consequences; caution is essential!
