Some things must be said out loud; do not wait for the other person to realize it. They are not you, and they do not know what you truly want. If you wait too long, all you will get is heartbreak and disappointment, especially in relationships.
If you want to catch fish, you must get in the water.
With perseverance, you will eventually reach the peak; with cowardice, you will inevitably fall into the abyss.
Loving someone means understanding them as well as offering solutions. It means apologizing and saying thank you; admitting mistakes and correcting them; being considerate and understanding. It means accepting rather than enduring, being tolerant rather than indulgent, supporting rather than controlling, comforting rather than interrogating, opening up rather than accusing, cherishing memories rather than forgetting, and communicating rather than merely reporting. It is about praying for their well-being silently, rather than making endless demands. We should be romantic but not wasteful; we may hold hands, but never casually, and certainly never carelessly.
