No matter how long the road, you can finish it step by step; no matter how short the path, you cannot reach the end without taking a step. Do not let too much of your yesterday occupy your today. In life, there is no need to argue every point to a conclusion. In dealing with people, let go of your stubbornness. When water is too clear, there are no fish; when a person is too rigid, they have no friends. In fact, life only requires a calm and peaceful state of mind, a free heart, and a simple, meticulous attitude toward life.
Turning a page of time turns it yellow into the past; spreading a paper of ink stains it into memory. Although the road to the ends of the earth is far, I still use a smile to moisten the tip of the pen as I turn away, recording the encounter as a preface, but unwilling to inscribe the farewell as a postscript. This is because an encounter is romantic, while parting is too sorrowful. Since life is short, on the journey, it is better to remember the romance than to engrave the sorrow.
I used to be most afraid of hearing friends say, "You have changed," feeling as if I were not as good as before. Now, when I hear it, I just smile. In fact, aren't we all changing? Our personalities, habits, even our appearance and physique change. If you want to and persist in doing so, nothing is impossible to change. No one is invincible forever; hitting enough nails naturally wears down one's sharpness. No one has the right to mock another's past. Growth is a continuous process of correction.
Life is like flowers, with ten thousand hues and thousand reds; life is like a song, melodious to the ear; life is like wine, fragrant and mellow; life is like poetry, with profound artistic conception, magnificent and colorful.
To maintain what should be maintained is unavoidable; to maintain what should not be maintained is incompetence; to not maintain what should be maintained is ignorance; to not maintain what should not be maintained is persistence.
This is just a fall, not a death from which one cannot rise.
Looking at your eyes, I know that you will become the Governor of New York State in the future.
I feel that people tend to alter their memories, making the beautiful things even more beautiful, and the opposite likewise.
Life is something known only to oneself regarding its warmth and coldness. If you treat me with sincerity, I will surely be able to feel it.
