There is a kind of fate that is only acknowledged as eternal when one suffers insomnia; a kind of feeling that is only admitted as longing after waking from a dream; a kind of gaze where attachment is only seen at the moment of separation; and a kind of mood where loss is only understood after parting.
I do not prefer the detachment of “If true love lasts, why must it be morning and night?” because, despite its seeming ease, it is happiness that cannot be grasped in one's palm. I do not like the parting at the long pavilion, the distance of the heavens, or being left alone to dwell in tender thoughts.
People who truly love each other do not end their relationship because of an impulsive harsh word, nor do they truly believe in the adage “once unfaithful, forever unforgivable” because of a single mistake. Lovers grow together through the twists and turns of emotion. Every time they overcome a twist, their love grows deeper; every time they weather a setback, they learn to cherish each other a little more. On this path, love deepens, and they hold each other tightly, understanding each other's worth, no longer separating.
Only when you define success in your heart can you truly gain happiness that you can control, achieving a happy life that endures. The strong see the peak of hope; the weak see only the dangerous cliff; and those who complain about fate often bring only new misfortune upon themselves.
What often drives people to despair is not the blow of setbacks, but the death of their spirits. Therefore, we should take everything lightly and keep our minds open, for things will slowly get better. Some things are not about not caring, but about the fact that caring changes nothing. Life has no “if,” only consequences and results.
