When we bid farewell to primary school and enter the academic journey of middle school, we step into youth, welcoming a beautiful and brilliant season. Youth is wonderful and exciting; it is an unforgettable and priceless period in our transition to adulthood. Indeed, “Nothing is better or more precious than youth!” Therefore, we should cherish our youth and unleash its brilliance. I would say: “Youth becomes glorious through struggle!”
In school, in our class, everyone is striving. In academics, we advance actively, help each other, and promote the construction of our class together. After class and on the way home, we share the fun and little moments of every day. On the sports field, we leave behind our agile figures and voices of cheering and encouragement. Yes, we strive every day, and We grow through unremitting effort.
Take the second-year middle school sports meet as an example. Everyone was full of vitality and passion. This was a spirit of struggle; it seemed everyone wanted to burst out with all their strength. Those running on the track may have had strained expressions on their faces, but who could know what was going on inside their hearts? In that instant of crossing the finish line, I believe the athletes had no other thoughts in their minds—only a torrent of struggle drove them to fight.
Perhaps the results were not as satisfying as hoped, but everyone was still joyful. Their faces were filled with relaxation and excitement because they had tried their best. The joy after such a struggle is beyond words.
Another example is the second-year middle school midterm exam. On that exam day, more than 300 students gathered together, sitting at their desks. For the sake of past efforts and hardships, we must do well today! Everyone held such a belief, approaching the exam with an active and positive mindset, writing down our wisdom and achievements on the papers with swift strokes. In that moment, we were all striving; how beautiful it was! Although everyone’s scores would differ and feelings would vary—disappointment, joy, sadness, or complexity—everyone had given it a try. The serious review in the preceding days made the specific scores of this exam less important. What remained was reflection, correction, and continued effort.
This is our youth, with tears, with joy, and with bitterness. It is precisely these colorful emotions that weave our glorious youth. On the road of youth, struggle and pursuit leave us with unforgettable and precious memories.
