Clouds drift at the edge of the sky, our bags are before us, and there is a path to the sun that is endless and boundless. Along the way, green grass grows lush, accompanied by youth; in the distance, yellow sand rolls, connected to maturity. We walk thus, day after day, year after year, listening to the wind carrying news of the rain, and the rain beating the surface of the lake. The ropes of time will eventually become the lightning we cast into the sky.
Youth beats vibrantly and colorfully, paving the flow of years with the full flavor of life. We cannot choose how the future will turn out; life is essentially a horizon. As we run, the only thing we leave behind for the world is a silhouette that stretches longer and longer. Everyone's youth is a distant journey, moving further and further away from our boyhood and childhood. In hindsight, we realize that the world is nothing like we imagined. You may feel lonely and face various forms of exclusion. You may feel lost, and perhaps suffer the torment of life, with cold eyes and mockery flooding into your river like turbulence. This is where youth leads us.
No one can possess Steve Jobs' wisdom, Mozart's talent, or Han Han's personality, nor can we have the miraculous pasts of novel protagonists. Of course, we can draw inspiration, more or less, from their shining aspects. They stand like golden benchmarks under the sun, making us envious of their brilliance, but the shadows of their hardships accompany them simultaneously under that light. As your life's scroll grows longer, you will suddenly find that the colors in fairy tales are fading, that dawn is coming slower, and that various unsatisfactory colors are splashed onto you. This is society.
There are no 'ifs' in life. What can be erased with an eraser is only imagination and pain. On the station of life, there are places of hesitation and places of cost. If you escape blindly, your life will be blank. Perhaps you feel helpless, heartbroken, or defeated, but when you reflect on it later, you will feel that at least you have no regrets, and it may even have been spectacular.
The movie 'Flipped' also contains this line: 'Some live in high-rises, some live in deep ditches; some shine with ten thousand lights, some are covered in rust. There are thousands of kinds of people in the world, but Do not seek the passing clouds.'
For your fiery years, shed hot blood and tears. The result is nothing more than the idle chatter and glances of passersby. On the journey of hustling and bustling, ask yourself: Where is my youth going?
