Life is a journey of cultivation, and its core lies in cultivating the mind. The reason people suffer is often because they pursue the wrong things, and the root of this misguided pursuit lies in flawed thinking. As mortal beings, no one is free from error. The process of life’s cultivation is precisely the continuous act of discovering one’s own mistakes and correcting them. Only when one steps onto the right path can they gradually be freed from suffering. Cultivation in times of ease rarely leads to enlightenment; for pain, true liberation can only be achieved through transcendence.
In the vastness of the universe, individual life appears insignificant. In the intense conflict between the pursuit of an ideal state of being and the harsh reality of survival, in the struggle against nature and society, individual power seems fragile. However, what the process of life values is not the final outcome but the journey itself. The full meaning of life lies in the relentless pursuit and striving for the highest境界 (state) that life can achieve.
Equanimity is rare in life. Only by following the natural course can one attain inner peace; only by having few desires can one lead a joyful life. One should be more detached and see things more broadly. Fate is not some mysterious force, but the fruit borne by the flower of the self. How you choose determines how fate unfolds. To know how much effort was invested, simply look at how many fruits hang on the tree. In life, the harder you work, the luckier you tend to become.
Being such a person means being a noble person, a pure person, and one who has no regrets throughout their life.
