Some people have longed for the life of a Zen monk in a temple, hoping to experience the tranquility of morning bells, evening drums, and Bodhi chants. A Zen master told him: "Your breath is the chant, your pulse is the bell and drum, your body is a solemn temple, and your ears are the Bodhi. Peace is everywhere!" Your self is the dojo. As long as you extinguish deluded causes and let go of miscellaneous thoughts, where is not pure?
Do not make promises when you are joyful, do not give answers when you are sorrowful, and do not make decisions when you are angry. Think twice before you act, and you will make wise choices. If you always say you are very busy, you will never find space. If you always say you have no time, you will never have time. If you always say you will do it tomorrow, your tomorrow will never come.
In the course of one's life, there will be many experiences. Although time passes quickly, we gain a great deal. Step by step, in the long journey, we gradually find our direction. Those right and wrong, those joys and sorrows, wait for us, lead us, and encourage us. Holding a fulfilling life in hand and seeking the true self, everything will no longer be a dream!
When you enjoy suffering, life is no longer merely bitter. Suffering makes an originally ordinary life more worth savoring. No matter how poor or disappointed you are, always keep a true feeling and treat people sincerely. No matter how wealthy or successful you are, do not lose your conscience; treat people with genuine affection. Gains and losses are not constant; sorrows and joys are not fixed. Treat people with true feelings and sincerity, and good deeds will be rewarded with good outcomes.
Love well and live well. Remember, the sun is new every day. Do not waste the beautiful morning light. Life is too short to allow us to wake up with regrets every day. So, love those who are kind to you and forget those who do not know how to cherish you. Some people are there to help you grow; some people are there to live with; and some people are there to be remembered for a lifetime.
