Life is like a song, singing of the interplay between joy and sorrow; life is like a drama, where everyone plays a different role. One's lifetime is destined to go through much. Along the way, there may be bright laughter; along the way, there may be tears of grievance; along the way, one persists in innocence; along the way, one chooses in bewilderment; along the way, there is confidence in success; along the way, there is warning in failure. Every experience is destined to be precious.
In the ten-thousand-year history of humanity, the most precious thing is not the dazzling technology, not the vast classic works of masters, not the politicians' glib speeches, but the realization of taming the rulers, the realization of the dream of locking them in a cage. Only by taming them and locking them up can they be prevented from harming people. I am now standing inside the cage speaking to you.
Sometimes, persistence is a burden. Time does not necessarily prove many things. Life is always full of choices and contradictions. Only after experiencing failure can one possibly taste the flavor of success. People are tempered and grow through setbacks, and life becomes richer because of setbacks. Life is both simple and complex. What is complex is its meaning and its process: what is simple is that it can be summarized by a single word, 'heart'.
When pursuit becomes a long marathon, one often fails to get what they desire. Just like taking revenge on an enemy, struggling bitterly for years, using every scheme, finally achieving the revenge, only to find that too many life's pleasures have been abandoned, ending up with empty hands. Be calm in gaining, indifferent in losing. Rather than looking up in awe at others' brilliance, it is better to light one's own lamp of the heart, set sail for distant voyages, and grasp the truest self.
Walking some roads, one knows the hardship; climbing some mountains, one knows the difficulty; crossing some barriers, one knows transcendence; going through some events, one knows experience; reading some people, one knows tempering; reading some books, one knows wealth; living a whole life, one knows happiness. Have a little more joy, a little less worry. When tired, sleep; when awake, smile. How life turns out is up to you to season it!
