I do not envy or resent couples who are always glued together. I have neither the time, the interest, nor the energy to cross time zones to argue, throw tantrums, or break up over trivial matters. What I can do is simply wrap up my coat when the wind blows, keep reading, actively participate in various activities, memorize many new words, maintain a healthy sleep schedule, and work hard on my fitness. I hope that no matter which day it is in the future, I will have the qualification to stand by your side with an unchallengeable and confident posture.
Being belittled or despised by others is actually a good thing. If you are unwilling to accept such treatment, you must put in a hundred times the effort. You need to achieve results several times greater than others to establish yourself before the public, forcing the arrogant to admit defeat. This is the key to benefiting from criticism: the essence lies in self-reliance and striving forward.
Being poor is not scary; what is scary is relying on others for relief indefinitely. Loneliness is not scary; what is scary is being lonely forever. Unemployment is not scary; what is scary is never taking the initiative to find a job. Illness is not scary; what is scary is falling into a coma or becoming critically ill. Failure is not scary; what is scary is total defeat.
Unless one has gone through countless hardships and twists in life, no one can truly become great or excellent.
