If reading lays the foundation of life and combs our feathers, then practice is the construction of life's hall and the tempering of our wings. Is it not through practice that one can truly stand tall and soar amidst heaven and earth? The world is like a rose: a pessimist sees only its fearsome thorns, while an optimist appreciates only its lovely fragrance. Life is also like exquisite food; we spend little time eating and most time digesting, and solitude is the process of digesting the world.
When you feel sorrow and pain, the best thing to do is to learn something new. Learning will keep you invincible.
Do not dream too deeply, or it will be hard to wake; do not speak too fully, or it will be hard to remain flexible; do not set standards too high, or it will be hard to harmonize; do not act too extremely, or it will be hard to retreat; do not fall too deeply in love, or it will be hard to extricate yourself; do not value profit too much, or it will be hard to maintain your principles; do not act too falsely, or it will be hard to win hearts; do not see the world too clearly, or it will be hard to act within it.
Be calm in conduct and sincere in emotion. Always think of the positive side; by approaching things with a joyful heart, you will naturally achieve a joyful life. If you focus on the negative, you will only invite endless troubles. Everything in this world depends on a single thought; our minds can create heaven or construct hell.
Your time is limited, so do not live for others. Do not be constrained by dogma, do not live within the concepts of others, and do not let external opinions drown out your inner voice. Most importantly, bravely follow your heart and intuition, for only they know your true self; everything else is secondary.
The most perfect life is not the smoothest one, but one that journeys from a path of thorns to the peak of truth—a life filled with twists, turns, and the ebb and flow of fortune.
