Life, in its essence, is rationality. It involves knowing one's worth and clearly distinguishing between what one is capable of doing and what one ought to do.
“In life, there are no spectators. I love life and fight for it.” — [Czechoslovakia] Vaclav Havel
“Life itself is neither harm nor benefit; it is the container for both.” — [France] Michel de Montaigne
If you realize that life is a one-way street and you will never see the same scenery again, then dedicating yourself fully to the present moment is the true essence of happiness.
Life is brief. Let us open our hearts and spread the wings of our souls. Remember every touching moment along the way and savor the experiences of life; you will find many insights. For a long time, many have lived in the expectations of others, betraying their own hearts to seek the happiness and satisfaction of others, perhaps for a little approval, while neglecting their true feelings.
If what you see in the eyes of your supporters is merely flattery, and what you feel from your opponents is mere ignorance, then the opinions of both are not worth hearing. Let others discuss your eccentricity or arrogance; remain unmoved within. Life often warns us in the harshest way: do not expose your heart too deeply. If you remain obsessed with trivial matters or indignant about petty people, you will only sink slowly into a spiritual grave of your own making.
A person is not lonely if they enjoy the tranquility and solitude. Two people can be lonely if they cannot communicate, if they cannot appreciate each other's value, and if they cannot share love and care. I hope that you, or those from my past, know how much I have liked you and the beauty of sharing that affection, even though I have often been poor at expressing it, making my words of care seem insignificant.
The life you want to live is the one you are currently living; you simply have not yet discovered its interesting aspects. Your world is the entire world; there is no “outside” world.
The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago. The second best time is now. Wisdom means pursuing the right goals at the right time.
