When we bid farewell to primary school and embark on the journey of middle school education, we have stepped into youth, entering a beautiful and brilliant season. Youth is wonderful and vibrant; it is a memorable and invaluable period in our transition to adulthood. As the saying goes, 'Nothing is better or more precious than youth!' Therefore, We should cherish this time and fully unleash its brilliance. I want to say: 'Youth becomes brilliant through striving!'
In school and in our class, each of us is striving. In our studies, we pursue progress actively, help one another, and advance together, striving to build a better class. During breaks and on the way home, we share the joys and little moments of every day together. On the sports field, our agile figures run with cheers and encouragement from friends. Yes, we strive every day, growing through our relentless efforts!
Take the sports meet during our second year of middle school, for example! Everyone was filled with vitality and passion. This is the spirit of striving; it seemed as if everyone wanted to burst out with all their strength. The runners on the track, though their faces showed expressions of struggle, harbored complex feelings within. In that instant of crossing the finish line, I believe the athletes had no other thoughts on their minds—only a surge of striving drove them to compete with everything they had.
Perhaps the results were not entirely satisfactory, but everyone was still joyful. Their faces were filled with relief and excitement because they had tried their best. The joy after striving is something that words can hardly capture.
Similarly, consider the midterm exam in our second year. On that day, more than 300 of us sat at our desks, determined to perform well for the sake of our past efforts and hardships. Everyone held this belief, embracing an optimistic mindset, and rapidly writing down the results of our efforts and wisdom on the exam papers. At that moment, we were all striving, and how beautiful that was! Although grades inevitably differ from person to person, and emotions vary—disappointment, joy, sadness, or complexity—we all made our best effort. With the serious review we had done in the days prior, the actual scores became less important. What remains is reflection, correction, and continued effort.
This is our youth, filled with tears, joy, and bitterness. It is precisely these colorful and mixed experiences that weave our brilliant youth. On the road of youth, it is striving and pursuit that leave us with a memorable and precious memory.
Let us strive! Youth becomes brilliant through striving!
