Constant struggle and striving are essentially just waiting for that fleeting moment of sudden enlightenment.
All fruits were once flowers, but not all flowers become fruits. Everyone has been young, but not all young people grow well. Many people are striving, but not all who strive will succeed. For the things you truly wish to do, as long as you have made your best effort, you need not dwell on the outcome. What matters most in life is the process, not the result. Only regret the things you did not do, not the things you have already done.
Perhaps death is a different kind of choice. How sad it is! The sorrow of youth, struggling at the edge of life and death—go struggle! It will give you the power to live.
What about our life experiences? Don't you need them?
Let me struggle along my own path. Do not ever lose your courage; do not slacken your efforts.
The autumn cicada sings of life. Time after time, it is on the verge of death, yet it sings optimistically again and again. It suffers, yet it is beautiful. We all know that the cicada spends the vast majority of its life underground. When it emerges to the surface, its life is nearing its end. Some say this is the final song of life, something to be pitied. I, however, find it admirable. Unwilling to accept the brevity of its existence, it strives to make its life brilliant, filling the air with resonant sounds. Singing high in the face of death is a challenge to it; though it suffers, it remains beautiful.
Spring is beautiful, precious, full of vitality, and busy. In everyone's mind, spring is beautifully lovely because it heralds the start of a new year and the beginning of a new life. For those who have succeeded, spring is a new beginning; they take their previous foundation as a starting point and continue to strive and work hard upon it. For those who have failed, spring is the start of a new origin. They forget their past failures, put a period to them, and strive anew toward this fresh beginning.
Three years of effort bring a lifetime of happiness; three years of effort forge a lifetime of glory.
