I constantly ask myself: What is the meaning of life? In the end, my ability to survive is often just a matter of luck. I desire to achieve something meaningful in my limited life, yet I am often lost as to what path I should take. I have never deeply pondered about God, but He suddenly comes to mind now. I am well aware of my own superficiality and have no wise mentors to consult. However, the need to learn drives me to pick up books at random, hoping to find answers within.
Fate determines your blood relatives, but fortunately, it leaves us with freedom in choosing our friends. When we persist in searching and questioning, the answers will eventually reveal themselves. Yet, human nature is often paradoxical: we easily forget the beautiful things we wish to remember, but struggle to forget the painful things we want to escape.
Every breath in life is intertwined with the passage of time. Walking through the vast sea of people, facing the ebb and flow of life, we should keep a humble heart to accommodate all things, cultivate kindness to be rewarded by kindness, and move through the black and white of time and space, quietly observing the sun and rain of nature. Having experienced the distance between life and death, if one has no fear of life, why fear death? If you can walk five miles of hills, you can certainly pass ten miles of ridges. With fewer partings and less sadness, the present moment becomes peace.
