Life is a long and winding road, where obstacles and responsibilities are ever-present. Only through repeated falls can we forge unyielding resilience and reap rewards; only through enduring unchanging storms can we gain constant trials and true understanding. Be a strong life-force, walking and singing along the way. Since we walk the path of the masses together, bumps and bruises are inevitable. The highest realm of life is twofold: one is to bear pain in silence, the other is to smile without speaking. No matter how much grievance lingers in the heart, a single smile can dissolve resentment.
Human talent is like a spark; it can be extinguished or ignited. The only way to force it to burn into a roaring fire is through labor, and more labor.
As the Huangdi Neijing states: "The great method for curing diseases: for that which is high, lift it; for that which is low, raise it; for that which is cold, warm it; for that which is hot, cool it; for that which is startled, calm it; for that which is exhausted, nourish it; for that which is bound, disperse it; for that which is joyful, open it with fear; for that which is sad, overcome it with joy!"

It is better to endure hardship early in life than late.
Times change, circumstances shift, and so must our responses. When stepping down, one must have the mindset of one who has stepped down; when in office, one must have the spirit of one currently in office. To expect others to view you the same way at all times is not only unrealistic but a one-sided, self-indulgent wish. The essence of life lies in understanding, and the secret of life lies in reason. If one deliberately pursues an "excellent" life, one may instead fall into a sea of self-inflicted trouble.
A person with a broad mind does not dwell on trivialities nor carry them to heart, thus living each day in ease and comfort.
It is not too difficult for a person to endure pain in order to live for themselves; however, it is no easy feat for a person to endure pain to keep others alive.
Before things get better, we must inevitably go through some unhappy days. This period may be long, or it may pass in a single sleep. Therefore, be patient and give good luck a little time.
Life is like a guitar string; sometimes taut, sometimes relaxed. Only with a balanced degree of tension and relaxation can one play a beautiful melody.
