Grains of sand only long to be gently lifted by the breeze on the beach, drifting into the air, enjoying the life of leaving the ground to explore the sky.
However, the sky does not belong to them. Besides the sand, there are also fallen leaves swept by the autumn wind. They too yearn for the wind's favor, hoping it will carry them into the air to see the world they imagine. Perhaps this is their only wish: to hope that the wind will grant them this, taking them to see that imaginary paradise.
But when the wind stops, they will inevitably return to their original place. The sand can only continue to endure being trampled by people. One day, tourists came to the beach to play, and the sand became a tool for entertainment. But this is their fate. After a leaf fell back to the ground, it said to the sand, "This is our fate. The sky made us sand and leaves for a reason." The sand asked, "Why?" The leaf replied, "You can bring joy to people on the beach, and I can green the environment. Isn't that good?" The sand suddenly understood.
A long time later, the wind returned to the ground and said to them, "Let's take you to play in the sky." However, they refused. The wind asked in confusion, "Don't you want to go?" Their answer astonished the wind. They said, "Although we cannot go wherever we want like humans, although we have no hands or feet, and although people can create everything with their hands, we cannot do what humans do. But we are happy now. I can bring joy to people, and leaves can green the environment. Isn't that good?" The wind left sadly, for it simply did not understand the sand's mind. Because even if they lived happily in that place for a long time, they would eventually return to where they belong and feel sadness again. It is better to focus on the present and adjust their mood. Perhaps others do not know the reason for their choice, but it is the right thing to do; it is just that others do not understand. From then on, they lived happily, for One less thing is better than one more. At least, they were no longer sad, but filled with joy.
